Guys, Palmau Tiger Reserve is spread over an area of 1026 sq. kms. Though the Koel river and its tributaries run through the reserve, the animals mostly depend on man-made water holes for their needs and as a result, they can be easily viewed. The leopard, tiger, elephant, Indian wolf, gaur, sambar, sloth bear and nilgai are some of the inhabitants of the reserve.
When to visit: October to March

The Tourist Lodge and Forest Rest Houses are available for accommodation. For reservation field director may be contacted.
How to get there:
The nearest rail head is Daltonganj (25 kms.) and the nearest airport is at Ranchi (180 kms.)
