The Gujari Mahal Museum, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh - 63

Gwalior - With respect to the history, is a significant termini of the country and has a beauteous monuments like Gujari Mahal. This museum is located within the Gwalior fort and the fort is placed on a sand stone of a very steep cliff which is 2.8 km in length, 200-850 km in width and 91 m above the plains. Gwalior fort has introduces six Mahals, legion water tanks and three temples. The fort has been spectator to many ups and downs and has exchanged the administration from one ruler to another. At the beginning, this is dominated by the Tomars-Mughals-Marathas-British and finally Scindhis.

It is known as one of the most hunky-dory memorials and museums in Gwalior and that is why it is eye-catching place for every visitor from all over the world.

The museum has perhaps the richest collection of objects comprising of early and medieval sculpture, coins and letterings in India. The museum also has copies of Bagh paintings on display. All you are deserve to see the statue of Salbhanjika from Gyraspur, the tree goddess paradigm of perfection in miniature. The statue is kept in the hands of the conservator of the museum and can be seen on the kind request.
