Mehrangarh Fort Museum, Jodhpur - 53

The Palanquin Gallery and Howdah Gallery display a superb collection of specimens of great historical value. The armory exhibit has some of the finest collections of old weapons and arms.

Mehrangarh Fort Museum of Jodhpur, is known as one of the most hunky-dory museums in Rajasthan. It has been beautifully placed out on the land like a Kashmir garden. Like a closed litter carried on the shoulders of four bearers that section looks like. This museum admits the detailed domed gilt having the deep slightly brownish color of gold Mahadol palanquin. It was gained in a battle from the Governor of Gujarat in 1730. The heritage of the Rathores, including arms, costumes, paintings, decorated period rooms, etc, is demonstrated in this beautiful museum. The museum shows the thought of the quality of being magnificent of the royal families of the past.

Just look at the slide show and then makes your mind to visit this beautiful museum.

This museum has many fantastic galleries like Elephant's Howdahs, Palanquins, Daulat Khana, Weapons Gallery, Paintings, Turban Gallery and Cradle Gallery. All you can visit here from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm. Just keep in mind that this museum remains closed on Fridays and Government Holidays. You can take lowest priced entry passes i.e., Rs. 20/- for Indians and Rs. 100/- for foreigners. I would like to suggest, if you are on the tour of Rajasthan then do not miss the opportunity to visit Mehrangarh Fort Museum.
