Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, Bikaner - 36

Silk robes and various “Farmans” bearing original imperial seals, issued by emperors including Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb are the main exhibits in the museum. This museum has a brilliant collection of terra-cotta ware, paintings, coins, sculptures and arms. Some of the exhibits are from the pre Harrapan period. The terra-cotta is said to be from the Gupta and Kushan periods (4th to 5th century).

Guys, Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum of Bikaner was demonstrated in 1937, near the Lalgarh Palace, on the eve of the Golden Jubilee solemnizations of Maharaja Gaiiga Singh. After in 1954, the museum was changed over to a new building in the Civil Lines and is now run by the Government of Rajasthan.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum exhibits a varied collection of artifacts including terracotta, pottery, carpets, paintings, armory and miniature paintings of Bikaner school and coins. The exhibits are magnificent and the most outstanding work of a creative artist or craftsman of Harappan civilization, Gupta and Kushan era and sculptures of the late classical time.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 05.00 pm. You can get the entry passes by paying Rs. 3/- for Indians and Rs. 10/- for Foreigners.
