State Archaeological Museum, Hyderabad - 99


Guys you can see here Buddhist antiquities displays. A stone shrine, polished black dolerite pillars, fine carvings, and a wooden chariot used in temple parades are among the exhibits.

Guys, one cannot miss this delighting building as one passes by the Public Gardens. The Andhra Pradesh State Archaeology Department museum has a prominent collection of stone and metal sculptures from ancient and medieval Andhra - from the Satavahana and Ikshvaku periods - in its five galleries, besides a pavilion dedicated to Ajanta and Deccani painting. A unique feature of the museum is its Modern Art Gallery that has a sizeable collection of paintings and sculptures of contemporary artistes of Hyderabad. 

This museum is located at Near Public Gardens, Hyderabad and you can visit here from 10.30 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. except Mondays. Before taking photographs you are requested to take prior permission.
