Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata - 91

This is India’s first public science museum. It has a display of scientific models, hands-on interactive exhibits on scientific phenomenon and models of various industries.

Guys, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata inaugurated on 2nd May 1959. It spread on 9622.31 sq. mtrs. floor area. It has 10 galleries named as below:

10. Under ground Mock-up Coal Mine


You can see here educational activities like Daily Science Shows, Sky Observation, Creative Ability Centre (CAC) and Polular lectures. One can attend Science Seminar, Science Fair, Engineering Fair, Annual Science Quiz Contest, Hobby Camps, Science Drama Compititon, Science Film Festival and Observance of Important days round the calender year. This Museum belongs to must see category especially for Science students all over the world.

This museum opens at everyday from 10.00 a.m. to 5.30 pm. Including Sundays and Holidays and remains closed on Doljatra and Kalipuja.

Admission Fees has been charged per head as Rs.15/- for General Public and Rs.7/- for Students in group.
