Sri Chitra Art Gallery in Trivandrum features a unique collection of traditional and contemporary Indian art. It is one of the few art galleries in India, which boasts the finest exhibits of both ancient and modern schools of Indian art.

The creations of Raja Ravi Varma adorn the front galleries and the oil painting work of this renowned artist is no doubt the most important feature of the Sri Chitra Art Gallery.

While planning your trip, keep in mind that the Sri Chitra Art Gallery remains open to its visitors on all days of the week except Monday, from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. However on Wednesdays it remains open only from 1.00 PM to 4.45 PM. It is a wonderful cultural experience and a wonderful blend of both traditional and contemporary art which is a must-see for all art enthusiasts.
